
What a joy to be able to share this news with you! The Jardín Botánico Atlántico de Gijón is celebrating because, finally, it is opening its entire space to the public, completing that piece that had been missing since its inauguration in 2003.
I invite you to come by this weekend, from April 24, 2026 to April 26, 2026, to discover this very special corner and enjoy a program designed for all tastes.
Featured activities 🌿
To celebrate this opening, the Jardín has prepared an agenda full of culture and nature:
- Exhibition in tribute to Florencio Valdés and his family.
- Special guided tours of La Isla and lectures on the history of the garden.
- Music and poetry: with the participation of Ensemble 4.70, the poetry of Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda, the Lithos choir, and the Más que Jazz show.
- Children’s activities: theater with Adrián Conde Espectáculos, a meeting with Don Florencio Valdés y Ms. North (presented by Teatro Factoría Norte y Paula del Estal), and traditional games.
- Solidarity spaces and crafts: visit the market of the Asociación de Mujeres Artesanas D’Aky and learn about the work of the Asociación Párkinson Jovellanos.
