LA CASTALIA - 2ND EDITION OPERA – STUDIO

The second edition of La Castalia Ópera-Estudio presents a double bill at the Teatro Filarmónica de Oviedo, combining the world premiere of the contemporary comedy “El sobre equivocado” with the classic buffo “La serva padrona”. This proposal highlights the talent of the project’s young voices under the artistic direction of Begoña García-Tamargo.

The event will take place on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 20:00. Admission is free until full capacity is reached, so I recommend arriving early to secure your spot.

Programa 🎭

The performance is divided into two short pieces:

• “El sobre equivocado” (30 minutes): World premiere by Yónatan Santianes, who also directs the stage production. The plot follows the stage manager Leonor in a story of romantic entanglements and friendship behind the scenes.
• “La serva padrona” (45 minutes): The famous intermezzo by G. B. Pergolesi about the cunning maid Serpina and her plan to marry her master Uberto.
