Heritage Itineraries: Villayón

The Heritage Itineraries program invites you to discover the most unique cultural and natural resources of the Principality of Asturias. On this occasion, the route heads to the council of Villayón to visit the Natural Monument of the Cascadas de Oneta and the Cascada de Méxica in Ponticiella, taking low-difficulty paths that are ideal for enjoying the surroundings.

Route details

• Cascadas de Oneta Route: Set of three waterfalls (3 km round trip).
• Cascada de Méxica Route: Trail from the village of Ponticiella (4 km round trip).

Schedule and logistics

• Meeting in Oviedo: 08:45 (C/ Mendizábal, in front of the Teatro Filarmónica).
• Departure: 09:00 (C/ Argüelles, 7) and 09:30 from the Estación de autobuses de Avilés.
• Return: Approximately 19:00 in Oviedo.

Practical information

• Club price: €18 (maximum 2 tickets per member).
• General price: €20.
• Recommendations: Hiking shoes, comfortable clothing, water, a walking stick, and a picnic for lunch are required, as lunch is not included.
