Heritage Itineraries: Amieva

The Itinerarios por el Patrimonio program invites you to discover the most unique cultural and natural resources of the Principado de Asturias. On this occasion, the route focuses on the council of Amieva, where a trail will be taken along the banks of the río Dobra to the Olla de San Vicente, a natural pool with emerald green waters (easy difficulty, 6.5 km round trip).

After a stop for lunch in Cangas de Onís, the itinerary continues with a walk from Santillán to Sames, including a visit to the iglesia de Santa María de Mián, the oldest building in the council, built next to an ancient dolmen.

• Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026.
• Time: Meeting in Oviedo (C/ Mendizábal, in front of the Teatro Filarmónica) at 09:00, with departure at 09:15 (C/ Argüelles, 7). Estimated return at 19:00.
• Price: €18 for Club Cultura members; €20 general price.
• Recommendations: It is advised to bring hiking shoes, comfortable clothing, water, a walking stick, sunscreen, and a picnic for lunch.
