1st Charity Run "Pilarica Urban 5K" to benefit ELA Principado

The 1st Charity Run “Pilarica Urban 5K” is a 5-kilometer popular race through the streets of Oviedo organized by the XIV Zona – Comandancia de la Guardia Civil del Principado de Asturias. Proceeds will go to ELA Principado, the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association of the Principality of Asturias, to support people with ALS and their families.

The race will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2026 under the motto “Sumando pasos, completamos el puzle”, with the goal of uniting sports and social commitment and giving visibility to the disease. It is open both to sports enthusiasts and those who wish to collaborate with the cause.

Race details:

• Start: 11:00 at Plaza de la Escandalera.
• Finish: Palacio de los Deportes de Oviedo.
• Distance: 5 km, timed.
• Modality: running, popular race.

Registration is done on the empa-t platform and costs €15 for federated runners and €18 for non-federated runners; it includes a commemorative t-shirt and runner’s bag. There is also a dorsal 0 for €5 for anyone who wants to collaborate without running, and the t-shirt is sold separately for €15. The registration period opened on September 17 and is subject to t-shirt availability. ELA Principado also accepts direct donations via Bizum at code 03718.
