GLORIA!

The Sociedad Filarmónica de Gijón invites us to celebrate the arrival of Christmas with one of the most luminous and universal works of the Baroque period: Vivaldi’s Gloria. It is a unique opportunity to enjoy an evening full of energy and joy, while supporting a fundamental cause in an event that has already become a tradition.

This special concert will take place at the Teatro Jovellanos. The evening has a distinct charitable character, as the funds raised will go to the Asociación de Cuidados Paliativos Pediátricos de Asturias (APPEA), turning music into a gift of hope.

The Program 🎶

The Ensemble 4.70, the ensemble in residence for the 2026-2027 season, will be in charge of performing this masterpiece under the direction of David Roldán. The program focuses on:

• Antonio Vivaldi (1678 – 1741): Gloria in D major, RV 589.

For this very special occasion, the ensemble will be accompanied by the voices of:

• Olatz Saitua, soprano.
• Paula Iragorri, mezzo-soprano.
