El Carmen Festivities Hontoria

Hontoria celebrates the El Carmen festivities with a traditional program that combines recreational activities, religious acts, and Asturian folklore. The celebration begins with the eve, focused on the festive atmosphere and social gathering, to give way to the big day with the most emblematic acts of the local tradition.

Program

Day 15 (Eve):

• 18:30: Children’s games, espicha, and distribution of the bollu.
• 23:00: Open-air dance.

Day 16 (Big day):

• 12:00: Parade and collection of the ramu.
• 12:30: Solemn mass, offering of the ramu, procession, danza prima, and regional dances.
• 20:00: Folk festival with the participation of the local group and bagpipe band.
• 23:00: Open-air dance.
