Fiestas del Carmen de Luanco 2026

Get ready to enjoy an unforgettable week in Luanco! From July 12 to 18, the town dresses up to celebrate the Fiestas del Carmen with a program full of tradition, music, outdoor cinema, and the always-anticipated parade of floats.

This year, the festivities arrive full of new features, such as the opening day Al Son de Peñes and the change of location for the outdoor cinema to the plaza de La Baragaña. Also, don’t miss the great party on the eve of Carmen, which this year moves to the muelle nuevo del Gayo to be enjoyed right after the fireworks.

Sunday, July 12: Al Son de Peñes Day

• 12:00 p.m. Traditional dance workshop with the Grupo Folclórico Treveyu (Torre del Reloj).
• 6:00 p.m. Parade with the bagpipe bands Conceyu de Llangreu, Saxum de Gijón, and Banda de Gaitas Cabu Peñes.
• 8:00 p.m. Joint concert.

Monday, July 13

• From 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. Children’s inflatables (explanada del Muelle Viejo).
• 10:30 p.m. Outdoor cinema: “Polican: Dogman” (plaza de La Baragaña).

Tuesday, July 14

• From 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. Children’s inflatables (explanada del Muelle Viejo).
• 10:30 p.m. Outdoor cinema: El Casoplón (plaza de La Baragaña).

Wednesday, July 15

• 8:30 p.m. Sailor parade Llamada a la Mar.
• Following: Opening rocket (chupinazo) by the Sociedad Deportiva Gauzón, followed by fireworks on the beach.
• After the fireworks: Great party with the orchestra Panorama City (muelle nuevo del Gayo).

Thursday, July 16: Day of Our Lady of Carmen

• 6:00 p.m. Mass at the Iglesia de Santa María de Luanco and sailor procession towards the Muelle Viejo.
• 8:30 p.m. Parade by the Charanga Pepe El Chelo.
• 11:30 p.m. Party with the Orquesta Gran Parada (Plaza de la Villa).

Friday, July 17

• 5:30 p.m. Greasy pole (cucaña), floating contraptions, and release of the styrofoam duck (puerto viejo).
• 11:30 p.m. Party with the orchestra Grupo Tattoo (Plaza de la Villa).

Saturday, July 18

• 7:00 p.m. Manuel Vega Arango Trophy: Club Marino de Luanco - Sporting de Gijón (Campo del Miramar).
• 8:00 p.m. Great parade of floats, big-heads, and bands (departure from El Crucero).
• 11:30 p.m. End of the party with DJ The Goat festival – Dani Parrondo.
