Puerto de Vega celebrates its fifth edition of the Indian Festival, an event dedicated to honoring the memory of those who emigrated to America in search of a better future. Under the theme of Nostalgia and Longing, the 2026 program pays tribute to key local figures and offers a cultural immersion into the Indian legacy.

The celebration transforms the town’s streets with a varied cultural offering:
- Indian Market: Commercial space with a period atmosphere.
- Parades and vehicles: Route through the streets with the arrival of the traditional “haigas” (classic vehicles).
- Music and shows: Performances by mariachis, Caribbean music, open-air dances, and vermouth sessions.
- Culture: Talks, theater, and folklore that connect the present with the history of Asturian emigration.
The official inauguration will take place on Friday, July 24, giving way to a weekend full of activities for all audiences.
