The Santa Ana Festival in Llanes is a traditional celebration dedicated to the patron saint of sailors, which combines religious acts with popular festivities. For two days, the town is filled with music, processions, and cultural activities that honor the local maritime tradition.

Program

July 25 (Eve):

  • 12:00: Traditional eve salute.
  • 17:30: Arrival of the Banda de Gaitas de Corvera.
  • 18:30: Transfer of the image of Santa Ana from her chapel to the Basílica, followed by a tribute to the eldest sailor and the performance of the Salve Marinera.
  • 19:30: Great sardine feast enlivened by La Década Prodigiosa and mobile disco Cardeo.

July 26 (Santa Ana Day):

  • 16:00: Arrival of the Agrupación Musical Torrelavega.
  • 17:00: Solemn religious service sung by the Parish Choir.
  • 18:00: Procession by the sea with a prayer for deceased sailors, followed by the return to the chapel and the traditional Danza Prima.
  • After the procession: Parade by the Agrupación Musical Torrelavega and a great open-air dance with the Orquesta Waykas and mobile disco Cardeo.
