Nadia Werba: A portrait for the future
The session brings together four documentary short films shot in Spain between 1965 and 1967 by the painter and filmmaker Nadia Werba (Paris, 1926 - Rome, 2025), whose works have been recovered thanks to the collaboration between Filmoteca Española, CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media) and the Instituto Universitario del Cine Español (UC3M).
This recovery contributes to making forgotten creators visible and expanding the history of our cinema. Along with the recently restored short films, a documentary video produced by CIMA will be screened, which contextualizes her life and her contribution to the Spanish cinematic landscape of the 1960s.
