The Somiedo Film Festival 2026 is held in Pola de Somiedo, organized by the association La Cuadrina de la Imagen with the collaboration of the Filmoteca Nacional and the Ayuntamiento de Somiedo. The event offers a selection of documentary and auteur cinema, in addition to specialized training.
Program
The festival features the following activities:
- Friday, October 16: Screening of “La lune à un mètre” by Georges Méliès and a retrospective of Scientific Documentary Cinema with Guillermo Zúñiga.
- Saturday, October 17: Auteur Cinema retrospective with Iván Zuleta, a screenwriting workshop for creative documentaries taught by Marianna Tsatsou, and a screening of “Nostalgia de la Luz” by Patricio Guzmán.
Admission to all sessions is free.
