Fran Sieira and Sergio R. Suárez co-direct Ceibe, a choreographic piece performed by 4 dancers that explores how gender influences our daily lives and the tradition of Galician dance. This proposal reflects on individual and collective identity through movement. 💃
The work features music by MounQup (Camille Hedouin), including songs by Carlos Quintá and the collaboration of Úrsula Rial. The costume design is by Érica Oubiña, with a special collaboration from Eferro.
About the work
Ceibe analyzes gender structures and their impact on various areas of daily life, focusing on a cultural manifestation as deeply rooted as traditional Galician dance. It is an invitation to understand what gender means to us as individuals, as a collective, and as a society.
