About the exhibition
The Ayuntamiento de Gijón/Xixón, the Museo Arqueológico Nacional (MAN), and the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) present Convivium. Archaeology of the Mediterranean Diet.
This exhibition explores the construction of the Mediterranean diet through archaeological evidence and the most recent research. The Mediterranean diet has been part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2013; furthermore, in 2024, the Asturian cider culture was added to this list, and it is also featured in the exhibition.
