The Bioparc Acuario de Gijón hosts two sessions of the “Christmas Special” from the A la Luz de las Velas series: on Friday, December 18 at 20:30 and on Sunday, December 20 at 20:00. The concert takes place in the aquarium’s auditorium, next to the large fish tank, with the piano surrounded by about 1,500 candles according to the organizer.
The pianist Sigfrido Cecchini offers a repertoire that blends Christmas carols and classics with soundtracks and popular melodies. The organizer presents it as a family-friendly concert with limited capacity.
Program: “Angels” (Elton John), “White Christmas”, “Remember Me” (Coco), “Now We Are Free” (Gladiator), “Adeste Fideles”, “The Music of the Night” (The Phantom of the Opera), “Beauty and the Beast”, “Ballade pour Adeline” (Richard Clayderman), “Silent Night”, “Piano Man” (Billy Joel), “Carol of the Bells”, “Someone Like You” (Adele), “Hasta mi final” (Il Divo), “Nessun dorma” (Puccini), “The Little Drummer Boy”, “Nuvole bianche” (Ludovico Einaudi), “Hallelujah” (Leonard Cohen), and “Feliz Navidad” (José Feliciano).
