School Sports Program 2025/2026

The Sports Schools program, organized by the Patronato Deportivo Municipal de Gijón, aims to promote physical exercise among schoolchildren and facilitate family work-life balance. The program seeks to complement the Physical Education subject and contribute to the comprehensive development of the students.

Areas of action

• Sports Schools: Extracurricular activities in educational centers and specific facilities (chess, athletics, basketball, handball, gymnastics, team sports, etc.).
• Sports initiation campaigns: Sessions to introduce specific technical disciplines (climbing, canoeing, surfing, skateboarding, sailing, etc.).
• School plans: Learning programs for swimming or golf through theoretical and practical sessions at municipal facilities.

Practical information

• Price: 50.00 euros per school enrollment and student.
• Requirements: It is essential to have the Tarjeta Ciudadana for registration.
• Location: The activities take place in various schools and municipal sports facilities in Gijón.
