Amateur Scene

If you are passionate about theater and want to discover local talent, you cannot miss Escena Amateur. It is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a varied and accessible program that celebrates culture in every corner of Gijón/Xixón. 🎭

This cycle, organized by the FMCE y UP, has the main objective of promoting amateur performing arts and offering a meeting space for Asturian amateur theater. This year, the proposal is more ambitious than ever, with a special effort to bring culture to new spaces, including for the first time the rural area to decentralize the programming.

Event details

The program runs from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027. The main activity is concentrated in the last four months of the year, between the months of September and December.

Special collaboration 🤝

The success of this edition is possible thanks to the collaboration with the Federación de Asociaciones de Teatro Amateur del Principado de Asturias (FETEAS). Thanks to this joint work, the cultural offer is significantly expanded and allows for a very special exchange with a company from another autonomous community.
