A village woman is preparing the amagüestu with excitement when she is interrupted by the excessive shouting of a city girl. The woman is astonished to discover that the girl knows almost nothing about rural culture and our ancestors, which leads to funny situations and reflections on the role of women in rural areas.
The play addresses themes such as traditional costume, mythology, riddles, and Asturian culture. Through the conversation between the two, where the woman speaks in amestao and the girl in Spanish, we discover that neither the woman is as traditional nor the girl as modern as they seem, showing that it is possible to maintain folk wisdom and live in current times.
