About the filmmaker
José A. Alayón (Tenerife, 1980) is a renowned filmmaker and cinematographer, founder of El Viaje Films. He has produced internationally acclaimed projects such as La ciudad oculta, Dead slow ahead, El mar nos mira de lejos, and Blanco en blanco. In addition to his work as a producer and cinematographer, he founded the Centro de Estudios Cinematográficos de Canarias (CECAN) in 2008. In 2013, he directed his first feature film, SLIMANE, followed by his most recent work, La lucha (2025).
