Covenant Productions received the Nel Amaro Prize for Professional Theatre in Asturian and Eonavian language in 2025 for the show Tía Miseria.
Covenant Productions was created with the objective of organizing and producing shows on oral tradition, cultural identity, memory, and tradition. One of its most well-known works is Animalada xabaz , a TPA children’s series that brings together puppets, traditional stories, theatre, and rock music. In 2003, the company began to develop ¡Rodando! Esnidien les histories , a multi-platform project on rural culture, with the work Tía Miseria as the central axis. This production was born from oral tradition, through a series of stage adaptations of stories based on this source of popular wisdom. The monologist Carlos Alba Cellero adapts and reformulates this ancient tale with music, songs, dance, riddles, traditional instruments, and humor.
