Ice speaks to us of other worlds: Antarctica as a laboratory for studying planetary habitability

The Asociación Cívico-Cultural Viento del Norte is organizing a fascinating lecture on geology and planetary sciences. Professor Susana del Carmen Fernández Menéndez will guide us through Antarctica, using it as a natural laboratory to understand habitability on other worlds.

About the speaker

Susana del Carmen Fernández Menéndez is a geologist and professor in the Department of Geology at the Universidad de Oviedo. A specialist in External Geodynamics and Planetary Sciences, she has led important projects for the Spanish Polar Program such as Palantarice, Reglimnopolar, and Alice.
