El Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón/Xixón is celebrating its 64th edition as a major event for independent cinema, offering films with a personal and genuine perspective that often do not reach commercial theaters or online platforms.
The program includes screenings of alternative, surprising, and human cinema, alongside exhibitions, film-concerts, workshops, masterclasses, professional meetings, literary presentations, Q&As, and musical activities spread across various venues. For the eleventh consecutive year, the festival will also have a presence in Avilés, specifically at the Centro Niemeyer.
