One of the most unexpected and celebrated alliances in recent Spanish music lands at the Plaza Mayor. 🎸

Marcos del Ojo Barroso, El Canijo de Jerez —former lead singer of Los Delinqüentes, one of the most original and beloved flamenco-rock bands of the last few decades— joins forces with Los Estanques, the group led by Íñigo Bregel and a true rara avis of progressive pop sung in Spanish.

From that encounter came “Lágrimas de plomo fundido”, an album that crosses psychedelia, progressive rock, garage, and flamenco roots, and which El Canijo himself has described as “the progressive rock album I’ve been wanting to make my whole life.”

Live, the mix works like a jolt: duende, humor, melancholy, and neighborhood spirit, with the unmistakable voice of El Canijo over the instrumental muscle of Los Estanques. An evening to sing along, dance, and get emotional in the heart of Gijón.
