The film by Shingo Ota explores the closure of the Numakage public pool, a space that for more than fifty years has served as a meeting point for families, the elderly, and gay cruising communities in the suburbs of Tokyo. Through the five stages of grief by Kübler-Ross, the documentary traces the collective mourning over the demolition of the site and questions how we process the loss of significant places.
