The XVI Sea Day in Ortiguera is an emotional day of tribute that will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026. This traditional event honors the memory of the deceased sailors with a series of solemn and festive acts in the coastal setting of Coaña.
Programa
- 12:00: Solemn mass in tribute to the deceased sailors, sung by the A.V.O. choir.
- Ofrendas y Procesión: After the mass, a laurel wreath offering will be held at the Monumento de marinos fallecidos, followed by maritime offerings to the Virgen del Carmen and a procession accompanied by the Grupo de Gaitas Brisas del Navia.
- Comida popular: As a grand finale, a popular lunch organized by the AVO will be held in the tent located in the park of Ortiguera (requires prior purchase of a voucher).
