Sea Day. Coaña

The Sea Day in Coaña is a traditional and emotional celebration that pays tribute to maritime culture and those who lost their lives at sea. During this weekend, Ortiguera is filled with music, religious acts, and great neighborhood camaraderie centered around local gastronomy.

Program

The event begins on Saturday, June 13 at 20:00 with the 9th Concert of Habaneras and Popular Songs, featuring the Rondalla Mugardesa and the Coro A.V.O. at the Parque de Ortiguera.

On Sunday, June 14, the 16th Sea Day is celebrated, which includes:

• 12:00: Solemn mass, floral offering at the Monumento de Marinos Fallecidos, and procession with the Virgen del Carmen, accompanied by the bagpipe group Brisas del Navia.
• 15:00: Popular lunch at the Parque de Ortiguera with live paella, wood-fired roasted pork shoulder, dessert, and coffee.

Tickets and Voucher Sales

Voucher sales for the popular lunch take place from May 26 to June 9. Prices are €25 for members, €30 for non-members, and €10 for children under 12. Vouchers can be purchased at the Panadería Ortiguera, Bar “El Faro”, Espacio Comercial San Agustín, or at the A.V.O. premises (Tuesdays from 18:30 to 19:30). Limited spots!
