The Government of the Principality is holding the commemorative events for Asturias Day 2026 in three municipalities linked to the Ría del Eo: Vegadeo, San Tirso de Abres and Castropol. From September 5 to September 8, an extensive program will take place that highlights the historical and natural heritage, traditions, and culture of western Asturias.
Actividades destacadas
- Hot air balloon tethered flight: September 5 in Vegadeo (Área Recreativa El Noveledo) and September 6 in San Tirso de Abres (Área Recreativa O Piñeiro).
- Guided tours: Cultural tours through Vegadeo (September 5), San Tirso de Abres (September 6) and Castropol (September 8).
- Sailor knots workshop: September 7 at the Puerto de As Figueiras.
