IUTA Tech Breakfast: "Predictive models and AI applications"

About the meeting 💡

This session is part of the Tech Breakfasts organized by the IUTA and Gijón Impulsa, an initiative that seeks to boost the Milla del Conocimiento Margarita Salas. During the day, we will learn closely how predictive models and artificial intelligence can be applied to real challenges of our business fabric.

In this edition, we will have two key presentations:

• “Maritime traffic and biological risk: a new predictive tool”, by Pelayo Nuño, Francisco González Bulnes and Verónica Soto.
• “Network architecture search in AI modeling applications”, presented by María Gutiérrez Álvarez and José R. Villar Flecha.

This series of meetings, which takes place between April and November 2026, is the perfect space to foster dialogue between researchers and professionals, opening the door to new innovation opportunities in fields as varied as energy efficiency or the circular economy.
