Itinerary description
Come and discover the heritage of Sariego on a day of culture and hiking. The route includes:
- Cueva y Capilla de San Pedrín: A low-difficulty route (2 km round trip) from Castañeda. We will learn about this place inhabited since the Paleolithic, surrounded by legends of xanas and famous for its procession and mass in Asturian.
- Santa María de Narzana: Visit to this Romanesque church from the late 12th century.
- Iglesia de Santiago de Sariego: Exploration of this temple that preserves pre-Romanesque windows in the upper part of its walls.
Practical information
- Price: €20 (€18 for children aged 4 to 11, members of the Club Cultura Asturias and Pasaporte Cultural).
- Recommendations: It is recommended to wear closed-toe shoes or hiking boots, water, a picnic for lunch, comfortable clothing, a hiking pole, sunscreen, and head protection.
- Tickets: Available online. Purchases can be made in person at the Viajes Aire Joven office in Oviedo/Uviéu with a 5-euro management fee.
