About the event

The tenured professor at the Universidad de Oviedo, Enrique del Teso, gives this lecture focused on the analysis of the stability of rights and freedoms in current democracies. The session offers tools and guidelines to reflect on how legislative and social changes can influence the cohesion of our society.

The talk will take place in the Salón de actos Escuela de Comercio. During the meeting, key issues regarding the fragility of democratic achievements and the role of social unity as a defense mechanism for citizens’ rights will be addressed.

The event is structured around three fundamental axes of debate:

  • The possibility of modification or loss of rights and freedoms in the democracies of our environment.
  • The impact of these changes on unity and social cohesion.
