If you are interested in the recent history of our country and the fundamental role that women played in it, you cannot miss this very special meeting. The Tertulia Feminista Les Comadres invites us to a revealing talk to delve into the figure of Carmen Díez de Rivera and her work, often forgotten, during the Transition. 🎙️
The appointment will take place on May 22, 2026 at 19:30 in the conference room of the Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto in Gijón.
This conference is very significant, as it is part of the celebration of the forty years of the Comadres de Oro awards. For this very special occasion, we will have the presence of:
- Pilar Sánchez Vicente, one of our Comadres de Oro, who will moderate the talk.
- Carmen Domingo, journalist, writer, and special guest.
During the event, we will talk about Carmen Domingo’s book, La soledad fue el precio. Through its pages, the author reconstructs the “behind the scenes” work of Carmen Díez de Rivera, a key woman in our recent history who deserves to be remembered. 📚
It is a unique opportunity to reflect on the past and recognize the legacy of the women who helped build our democracy. We look forward to seeing you to share this afternoon of culture and memory!
