About the event

The Festival Internacional de Piano de Gijón joins the celebration of one of the most anticipated natural events with a unique proposal: a Silent Concert outdoors at the Parque de la Providencia, one of the most spectacular locations in the city to watch the solar eclipse.

For two hours, music and nature will engage in a dialogue in a sensory experience where the audience will be able to live this extraordinary phenomenon accompanied by the sound of the piano. 500 headphones will be distributed among the attendees, creating an intimate and immersive atmosphere in which each note will accompany the transformation of the landscape and the light of the sky during the eclipse.

Several participants of the Festival Internacional de Piano de Gijón will be the protagonists of this evening, performing a carefully selected repertoire with works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Frédéric Chopin among other composers, whose music especially evokes the poetry of color, nature, and the most intimate expression of the piano.

A fusion of music, landscape, and astronomy that will turn the Parque de la Providencia into a unique stage to experience an unrepeatable moment: an experience where the visual and the auditory unite to celebrate beauty from a new perspective.

Admission: Free (a DNI or similar ID is required to pick up the headphones).
