This interpretation center, located in a former riverside shipyard, offers a complete overview of the history and present of the port of Avilés. The space stands out for its focus on the Avilés Submarine Canyons, using innovative technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, holograms, and 3D models to bring this unique marine ecosystem of the Cantabrian coast closer to the public.
The visit is complemented by daily educational walking tours lasting one hour, which cover the promenade on the right bank between San Juan de Nieva and the playa del Arañón. It is an ideal activity for families, tourists, and groups interested in the natural and port heritage of the area.
