Workshop description

Workshop to introduce the different types of olive oil, their production, and to learn how to distinguish and value them through their sensory attributes, that is, how they smell and taste, in addition to learning about the production process for each one.

The workshop is divided into two parts:

  • Informative explanation: on the different olive oil production systems, refining, types of olive oil, and quality analysis.
  • Interactive session: olive oil tasting.

This workshop promotes the culture of olive oil and its consumption through basic tools that we all can and should use without needing to be experts.

Speaker: Javier Sánchez Perona (Instituto de la Grasa, CSIC).
