About the Artist
CARASUEÑO is the musical project of Javier Vicente, a producer based in Zaragoza and founder of the Lar de Maravillas studios. His productions have incorporated various influences, from lo-fi electronic to retrofuturistic pop.
Artist Biography
CARASUEÑO began its musical journey at the beginning of the 2000s with its group Big City, with whom it released four albums and toured extensively. After a break, CARASUEÑO built its studio and distanced itself from the front line to become a luxury collaborator with other artists.
Music and Style
What began as a hermit’s set of ideas has now materialized in I’ll Be Neon Too , its first solo album, an explosion of its musical inner world where Brian Wilson, Bradford Cox, and Brian Eno coexist in a portrait of contemporary society, the absence, and the imperfection of human relationships.
Live Presentation
Live, CARASUEÑO’s songs are defended in a duo format by Javier Vicente himself and percussionist, drummer, and keyboardist Luis Azcona, resulting in a joint performance that is very visual while transiting between intimacy, ambient, indie-rock, and a kind of timeless pop.
