Would you like to discover the stories and sounds of the women who shaped our past? The group Caranzalem invites us on a fascinating journey with Pan y rosas, a program that rescues the medieval Christian, Sephardic, and Andalusian repertoire to give a voice to those women who, between the everyday and the extraordinary, left an indelible mark on our culture. 🎶
The program
Through this concert, we will explore the figure of the medieval woman, from the singers educated in the Islamic world to the Sephardic poetesses who celebrated the cycles of life. The group is formed by:
- Pilar Almalé Giménez: voice and viola da gamba
- Elena Escartín Díez: voice and recorders
- Ariana Barrabés Romeo: voice and percussion
