“José María García left us chronicles of Asturian popular culture in the form of lyrical narrative poems of a time already past, in which he was able to reflect naturally, the local and the idiosyncrasy of the Asturian rural society. He lived and felt a cultural identity that was already disappearing or on the verge of extinction”, Fermín Santos Lopez (editor).
For this reason, a collective of graphic artists (Natalia Pastor, Breza Cechini, Mario Cervero, Fermín Santos, Pedro Domínguez Carazo, Consuelo Vallina, Cesar Ripoll, Herminio, Fernanda Alvarez and Ana Vila) join to build this exhibition/illustrated poem, understanding the need to do this important work of dissemination among the reading public and Asturian society about one of the first poets in Asturian.
