About the play
Road to Mecca is a moving testimony about old age, freedom, and loneliness, wrapped in a staging with great symbolic weight.
A special encounter
Added to this interpretive challenge is a personal one: sharing the stage with her daughter, Natalia Dicenta, in a relationship that transcends the biographical to become an exercise in absolute stage complicity. One of the main reasons I find to join a project is knowing, or sensing, that it will be an opportunity to meet and share experiences with people who will move me forever.
