CALLEIRA. The genealogies of milk (Marta Veiga Izaguirre, USC)

Discover the history and living memory of our rural areas through CALLEIRA (CAdea Luguesa do LEite e Informacións Rurais Adxacentes). This fascinating research project, led by the Faculty of Humanities of the USC in Lugo, explores the stories of women regarding the processing, preservation, and consumption of milk.

Through this talk, we will delve into the results obtained in four key points of the province of Lugo: Chantada, Guitiriz, Palas de Rei and O Páramo. It is a unique opportunity to connect with our roots and understand the fundamental role that these women played in the rural economy and culture.
