“Brassica Classic trio” refers to a blend of seeds from plants of the genus Brassica (cabbages, turnips, rutabaga) designed to improve soil conditions.
This project reviews popular music through the vision of the great classics. A sonic, historical, and geographical journey through a map of music that blurs borders. When music passes from oral tradition to paper, it transforms, ventures, and reaches places previously forbidden to it. The great classical compositions drank from the music that surrounded them, but to what extent and in what form do they incorporate it? From Bach, Mozart, or Beethoven to Glinka, Kórsakov, Kodály, or Maria Teresa Prieto, their music was permeable to tradition and popular culture.
Brassica Trío are Vero Rubio (piano and narration), Miguel García (violin) and Pepín de Muñalén (flute).
