Barnum – The First Showman

About the event

Barnum – The First Showman is a large-format musical inspired by the film The Greatest Showman. It tells the story of P. T. Barnum, the circus entrepreneur who created the show known as “the greatest show on Earth” and who is considered the origin of show business.

The story takes place in the United States in the 19th century. Barnum loses his clerk job when his company goes bankrupt and, determined to give his wife Charity and their two daughters the life he had promised them, he sets out to create an unprecedented circus show. To do this, he gathers unique performers, from dancers to the bearded lady, under the idea that to do something new you have to do something unconventional.

On stage there are 16 artists including dancers, singers, and actors, with live vocals. The scenography includes 3D technology with large-format LED screens, props, and highly elaborate costumes and characterization.
