Gijón Symphonic Band

The most beloved band in the city offers one of the institutional concerts of the Semana Grande. Conducted by its principal director, the Banda Sinfónica de Gijón presents a repertoire carefully designed for a summer night: film soundtracks, pasodobles, zarzuela, classical pieces, and symphonic arrangements of popular hits.

An elegant evening in the heart of Plaza Mayor, with locals and visitors sitting out in the cool air, experiencing live the powerful and emotional sound of a band with over a century of history. Admission is free.
