DANCE FOR THE LIGHT. Charity event.

Would you like to enjoy a special afternoon while supporting a charitable cause? I invite you to participate in “Baila por la luz”, a charity event organized by the association Stop Ceguera that promises to unite culture and social commitment on the same stage. 🌟

The event will be held on May 16, 2026 at 18:00 in the auditorium of the Centro Municipal Integrado Pumarín Gijón Sur. Tickets are priced at 10€ (which includes row 0 and raffles) and you can purchase them directly at the Centro de Danza Karel.

About the cause

This gathering is possible thanks to the collaboration of the Centro de Danza Karel, Centro CandelArte and OCA Hoteles. With your attendance, you will be supporting the work of Stop Ceguera, a non-governmental organization with more than 25 years of experience dedicated to fighting against avoidable blindness.

Since its establishment in 1998, this group of ophthalmology professionals has worked tirelessly to bring visual health to places where access is limited. Currently, they are developing projects in:

  • Burkina Faso
  • Ivory Coast
  • Ghana
  • Dominican Republic
  • Senegal
  • Uganda
  • Ethiopia

In addition to their international work, the association also promotes initiatives in Spain focused on education, prevention, and awareness regarding eye health. 👁️
