Four elderly women recount memories and grudges during the wake for the husband of one of them. Heartbreaks, hatreds, secrets, and desires come to light over the course of a stormy night.

This play moves between the traditional farce, magical realism, and the horror novel, reviewing the lives of its protagonists in a circular story. Atra Bilis is a dark, fierce, and brilliant comedy where four women display their fears and quarrels with bursts of laughter in a wonderful unity of time and space.
