Four elderly women share memories and grudges during the wake of one of their husbands. Heartbreaks, hatreds, secrets, and desires will come to light during the course of a stormy night. Somewhere between local farce, magical realism, and horror novel, these women will review their lives in a circular story where everything ends the exact same way it began… or almost.

Atra Bilis is, above all else, a comedy. Dark, fierce, brilliant, and dynamic. Its four women unfold on stage —in a wonderful unity of time and space— their hatreds, fears, feuds, and secrets to the rhythm of laughter.
