The dramatized reading bets on a hybrid format, between reading and representation, where literary word maintains its protagonism but is enhanced with simple scenic resources: projections of maps, urban sounds, office light, and the act of reading as a theatrical gesture.
Based on Almudena Grandes’ novel Atlas of Human Geography, a choral work that explores feminine identity, the passage of time, and the search for meaning in the midst of everyday contradictions.
The staging is articulated around a large physical atlas, a central and symbolic element, which functions as a visual and narrative axis, as if the geographical map itself were transformed into an emotional and vital map.
The result is an intimate and reflective experience, inviting the audience to explore the interior territories of these women – their loves, defeats, discoveries – while revisiting with emotion and respect the unmistakable voice of Almudena Grandes.
