Are you passionate about cycling and looking for an unforgettable challenge surrounded by spectacular landscapes? The Asturias Challenge 2026 invites you to travel through four incredible natural settings, where you can enjoy cycle tourism and test your limits in timed sectors. 🚴
This finisher event combines the enjoyment of road cycling with the thrill of competition in two categories: the Cronoescaladas, ideal for measuring strength on strategic climbs, and the Gran Fondo, designed for long-distance lovers.
Circuit dates and locations
The challenge is spread over four stages throughout the season:
- April 11 and 12: Cangas de Onís (Start at 09:00).
- May 15 and 16: Pravia (Start at 09:00 from Plaza Sabino Moutas).
- June 13 and 14: Aller (Start at 09:00 from Moreda de Aller).
- July 10 and 11: Somiedo (Start at 09:00 from Ferial Pola de Somiedo).
Asturias Challenge Somiedo Program 🏔️
If you decide to join the event in Somiedo, take note of the key times at the Ferial Pola de Somiedo:
- July 10: Bib collection from 16:00 to 20:00.
- July 11: Bib collection from 7:30 to 8:30, start at 9:00, and trophy presentation and raffles at 17:00.
During this stage, the timed mountain passes will be San Lorenzo and Braña de La Peral.
