About the concert

As a consequence of the overwhelming presence of wine in the daily life of people in the Middle Ages, the repeated allusions to wine, whether as a main or secondary actor, that appear in the great medieval codices, such as the Cantigas of Alfonso X, are logical.

Artefactum includes in this program three cantigas, 23, 386, and 47, which refer to events and miracles directly related to wine. In vino veritas is a proposal where the group intends to invite the spectator to become intoxicated by the spirit, the daily life, and the vital impulse that permeated the people who in the Middle Ages built the foundations of our current society, all from the prism of wine as a basic pillar of medieval culture.
