A project by Sandra Fernández Sarasola.
Starting from the idea of “Woman Object” the artist takes us to the concept of “Woman Container”: container of emotions, knowledge, doubts, dreams and disillusionments, desires, feelings, traditions, rituals… In this thread that is at the same time theme and support, past and present complement and shape the concept “ajuar”.
This project is a nod to all those women artists who throughout history have not been able to occupy their place in museums and galleries, but also to all those who have lived and continue to live their lives in the shadows, for whom embroidery, sewing, weaving and any daily task is their silent means of expression.
