Austik as a Brick is an adaptation of the more folk-oriented vision of musician Ian Anderson, leader of Jethro Tull.
A reinterpretation for acoustic guitar, voice, and transverse flute of the 1972 album Thick As Brick, in which Anderson develops a very special style of composition that feeds on different traditional techniques combined with more proper forms of a classical system, almost medieval, from fantasy to symphonic poem, sometimes baroque and sometimes modernist, creating the first work of progressive folk rock.
In addition to interpreting the entire first part of the album that gives its name to the project, the Asturian musicians Luis Fuente (guitar and voice) and David Amores (flute) will offer an introduction to Jethro Tull and a selection of great hits from the mythical band, including classics like Bouree, Aqualung and Mother Goose.
